For 2013, the NECC/Cs Meeting took place on Monday 10th June in Vienna – the day before the Velo-city conference started. The theme was ‘Creating a sustainable European cycle route network’ and the focus was on establishing the financial platform needed to realise all the EuroVelo routes by the planned completion date of 2020.

Group 1We were very honoured because the hosts of the meeting – ecoplus, the Business Agency of Lower Austria (which is the Austrian National EuroVelo Coordinator) – arranged for it to be held in the Palais Niederoesterreich, the spectacular building in central Vienna, which used to be the home of the so-called Estates, the precursors of the Lower Austrian Parliament.
