SAVE THE DATE! EuroVelo 8 – Mediterranean Route Final Capitalisation Conference in Cádiz

Monday, March 2, 2020
The MEDCYCLETOUR Final Capitalisation Conference will take place in Cádiz (Andalusia, Spain) on April 22nd – 23rd 2020 where experts and stakeholders will gather to exchange best practices and share knowledge on cycling tourism across the Mediterranean Region.

Due to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) the Regional Ministry of Andalusia has stated that all events, seminars and meetings involving large groups will be suspended until further notice. The EuroVelo 8 - Mediterranean Route Final Capitalization Conference is thus cancelled.

In the frame of the EU MED programme funded project ‘MEDCYCLETOUR’, stakeholders working in the fields of sustainable tourism, cycling, infrastructure or marketing will be presented the latest developments on cycling tourism across the region, during a full day conference followed by a technical visit to EuroVelo 8 – Mediterranean Route in Cádiz.

The Mediterranean Route is part of EuroVelo, the European cycle route network. Over the past 36 months, 11 partners from 8 different countries have worked together in order to assess the route condition, develop action plans, implement pilot investments and capitalize on the project’s results.

The EuroVelo 8 – Mediterranean Route Final Capitalization Conference will be organised by the Government of Andalusia (lead partner of this international consortia). Registrations will open soon, so please register to our newsletter in order to receive the latest news.

Besides the conference you will get to know Cádiz, the city of sun, sea and tapas. Walking through the old town, you’ll dive in the Spanish way of life and every evening you will have the chance to enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the coast.

SAVE THE DATE and looking forward to welcoming you on EuroVelo 8 in Cadiz!
