EuroVelo 13 Partnership

Launched in 2026, the EuroVelo 13 Partnership aims to develop transnational activities for the EuroVelo 13 - Iron Curtain Trail. This partnership seeks to build on the strong foundations laid by the ICTr-CE, which has involved 8 countries and 3,000 km of EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail, since March 2023.

A EuroVelo Route Partnership of this nature provides a solid basis for sustainability on the transnational level and an opportunity for further developments in the fields of:

  • Route infrastructure (route condition monitoring, signalisation, coordination, etc.)
  • Public transport (cross border public transport information)
  • Promotion (web portal, press work, social media, answer information requests, etc.)
  • Monitoring (usage monitoring report)
  • Organisational tasks (meetings, planning, reporting, accounting etc.)

ECF is the Secretariat of this Partnership that involves partners from 4 different countries:

  • The Austrian Energy Agency, representing the Austrian Regional Partners (Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Burgenland).
  • Active Hungary Development Center Nonprofit LLC.
  • Poland's Department of Tourism Development Support.
  • Bratislava Region Tourism.
