Partner with us
There have been a number of route development projects in recent years. Each one has slightly different aims and objectives but they typically involve developing action plans, joint marketing and publicity strategies, sharing best practices and even improvements to physical infrastructure. Please contact us if you have any proposals.
In most cases ECF is one partner in a multinational team. At the moment, it is involved in four long term management agreements, related to EuroVelo 15 – Rhine Cycle Route, EuroVelo 19 - Meuse Cycle Route, EuroVelo 8 – Mediterranean Route and EuroVelo 1 – Atlantic Coast Route.
At the moment, there are two EU funded ongoing projects:
- ECO-CICLE – funded by Interreg Europe
- BICIMUGI - co-funded by the Interreg POCTEFA Programme.
In the previous years, three one-year route development projects sponsored by DG ENTR were completed. DG GROW also sponsored a project. Additionally, the EuroVelo network was developed through three COSME projects on Silver Cyclists, EuroVelo 3 - Pilgrims Route and EuroVelo 5 - Via Romea (Francigena), and two Interreg projects on EuroVelo 8 - Mediterranean Route and EuroVelo 1 - Atlantic Coast Route.
